Brain-Art Submissions

All competition submissions should be emailed to theneurobureau@gmail.com with “Brain-Art Competition 2011 Entry” in the subject line.

Applications should include:

1. Name and email of all participants (single-person and team submissions are welcome).

2. Title of artwork and a brief description (“figure caption”).

  1. 3.Indicate the category for submission:

  2. 1)Best 3-Dimensional Brain Rendering

  3. 2)Best Representation of the Human Connectome

  4. 3)Best Abstract Brain Illustration

  5. 4)Best Humorous Brain Illustration

There are no limits to the number of submissions per participant or category; however, each image can only be submitted to a single category.

We recommend a minimum of at least 300 dots per inch, and suggest the following file formats for submission: .ai, .bmp, .eps, .jpg, .pdf, .png, .tiff. Ideally, images should be sized for an A4 (or 8.5” x 11”) sheet of paper. Maximum file size of 10 MB is appreciated for direct email submissions; however, larger files can be submitted if a link is emailed so that the file can be directly downloaded by the competition organizers.

We are here to encourage and accommodate submission of your artwork.  If there are any concerns or questions regarding file formats, file sizes, image resolution or file transfer mechanisms, please do not hesitate to  contact us at theneurobureau@gmail.com with “Brain-Art Competition Help Request” in the subject line.

Note: All submissions to the Brain Art Competition 2011 should be the artists‘ own work, and not subject to any copyright violations. Submissions may be requested for use in future exhibitions and publications, but will not be used without the artist’s consent.

Submissions due by 11:59pm (EDT), Sunday, June 5th, 2011.
